Installer License — BlackSec Agent

This license applies to the BlackSec Agent desktop application and its Windows installer (the "Software") distributed from this site. It governs your installation and use of the Software only. Use of the hosted API itself — models, keys, and the gateway — is governed by the platform's Terms of Service, which continue to apply in full.

By running the installer, or by keeping the Software installed, you accept this license. If you do not accept it, remove the Software from your machine.

You are granted a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on machines that you own or control, for as long as your account remains in good standing.

You may use the Software for personal or business work, on any number of your own devices, provided each instance connects through your own account.

The Software is a general-purpose AI coding and agent client. You may use it for software development, system administration, security research, automation, and any other work that is lawful in your jurisdiction and authorized on the systems you point it at.

You are responsible for holding the authorization you need for every system the Software operates on — your own machines, lab environments, or engagements where you have explicit permission.

You may not redistribute, resell, or repackage the installer outside the official distribution channel on this site.

You may not modify the Software or installer to misrepresent its origin, strip or bypass its integrity verification, or present it as built by anyone other than the platform.

You may not use the Software to break the law, to access systems without authorization, or to operate against the platform's Terms of Service.

The Software is an uncensored client: it does not filter, judge, or editorialize model output. What you request and what you do with the results is entirely your responsibility.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating anything the models produce before you run, ship, or act on it. Generated code and instructions can be wrong, incomplete, or destructive — the Software executes what you tell it to execute, on your machine, under your authorization.

Nothing the models say is legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.

The Software keeps its working data on your machine (settings, session cache, logs). Your session token is held in memory and in the OS credential store — it is never written to your disk in plaintext by the installer or the app.

The Software talks to this site's API to authenticate you, stream completions, check for updates, and record usage telemetry (model, token counts, latency) exactly as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Software checks this site for new releases and can update itself. Update packages are verified by cryptographic hash before they are applied; a failed verification aborts the update rather than installing unverified code.

Updates may change features, fix defects, or remove capabilities. Continuing to use the Software after an update means you accept the updated Software under this license.

The Software is built on open-source components, including Electron and Chromium. Their licenses and full attribution ship inside the installation (LICENSES.chromium.html and friends) and apply to those components independently of this license.

The Software is provided "as is", with all faults, and without warranty of any kind — express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The platform does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated output will be correct or safe to execute.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for data loss, lost profits, or system damage arising from your use of the Software or from model output you choose to execute.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid the platform in the twelve months before the claim — which, for a free product, may be zero.

This license ends automatically if you breach it or if your platform account is suspended or terminated. On termination, uninstall the Software. Sections 9 and 10 survive termination.

This license may be updated with new releases. The version published on this page at the time you install (or update) the Software is the one that applies to you.
